Added a bit of colors in this one so the character doesn't appear "ghost like"

Draft illustration

Customizing Rubi Flats

Found these really nifty looking rubi flats in the city the other day with a friend.

Just acrylics and a 0.6 medium fine liner. I think I'm pretty much hooked on drawing koi lately.

Dreams

Dreams, aspirations maybe?

Potential template for a tshirt design *fingers crossed*, not sure if it's stunning enough to have it enter a competition that I'm contemplating of joining though.

Rainbow catcher

I was on the tram going into the city when a group of laughing teenaged girls came on board, their smiles and laughters were so genuinely happy that it made everyone else smile (including me). For some odd reason at that particular moment, I thought I saw a rainbow.

I usually don't like to put a meaning behind my work, but I guess through this piece I'm trying to tell a story of a person's striving for happiness, no matter how hard it is to hold on to it.

Reach for the rainbow.

Disintegrate 2nd Edition

Second edition. I personally prefer this one with the texture, makes the whole piece looking less cardboard-ish. My poor computer can't handle my graphics so it's not as clean as I hope to be.

Disintegrate

Digitally painted. Second attempt at using a wacom. I think I might've gotten the hang of the shading..sort of...wanted to add in some highlights for the hair, but I am just too tired.

Sketches

First time using graphics tablet to digitally render my drawings, there are about a billion brush strokes in there because I wasn't sure which one to use!

Random sketch.

Anzac Day Speech Animation

Solo project of Paul Keating's Anzac speech. Done through After Effects, Flash and Final Cut Pro.

ANZAC speech animation

A short animation with lip-synching, done with After Effects and Flash - Collaboration with Bruce Avery.

Speech was taken from Paul Keating's Anzac Day Speech.

Stopmotion - Jam

Stopmotion animation done with Michelle and Jane during my first year in University. We spent about three hours in the animation lab, and used found objects to animate. The short clip is rather loose since we didn't have a story board to it, but we used elements that represent our daily life to capture what the lifestyle of an international student studying in Melbourne would be like.

No sound was added.

Illustration

Acrylic on canvas.

Decided to try for a more anime-ish look, I finally managed to get the fade to work properly after heaps of trials and errors!

Started a week ago, and have been working on it on and off. Finally finished it on the night of my birthday! Wow!

Just random doodles I decided to toss in a bit of colors in, I cheated and used actual blush for the pink parts.

Customizing

Found these plain wooden earrings in a second hand shop in the city, awesome smooth surface to paint on.

Thursday, August 20, 2009

Logo design for an upcoming bboy event. Illustrator and photoshop works miracles! Kept it in neat tones of black white and grey so that they could mass produce it using photocopy machine but I can't help but add in a bit of details.

Doodling around with a mini canvas and acrylics. I'm not even sure what this is..a hybrid of peacock and phoenix maybe?
